Welcome to Black Rock, Bridgeport, Connecticut

Black Rock is an historically important and picturesque neighborhood within the city of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Known for its expansive access to Long Island Sound, its Ash Creek walkway park and panoramic views along the popular seawall park that extends from Ash Creek, Black Rock is home to many stunning waterfront properties and marinas. Ash Creek estuary is one of the 15 most important “flyways” for migrating sea birds on the entire east coast. Environmental consciousness plays a large part in our community’s daily life.

Community residents include many faculty and academics, artists and writers, all fostering a vibrant, socially active community.

A tour through Black Rock’s historic district reveals numerous, lovingly restored historic residences and well-kept homes.

Fairfield Avenue’s commercial corridor is home to an array of fine restaurants, small community-serving businesses and highly desirable office facilities. New (and scheduled) attractive apartment houses line the Avenue in strategically important locations for commuters, students and anyone seeking access to Black Rock’s many advantages.

Points of interest include Captain’s Cove Seaport, St. Mary’s by the Sea and Fayerweather Island Lighthouse.

Nearby movie theaters, access to the newest Metro North train station and public transportation are additional conveniences that are just “around the corner.”
